Go and buy for yourself

A night is coming when no one can borrow. A night is coming when no one can beg! If we give you our oil, we may not have enough for you and ourselves, and then all of us would be shut out of the wedding.

Remember, we have only heard that the Bridegroom is coming; we have not seen Him yet. It may still be a few hours before He appears, and we must keep our loins girded and our lamps burning.

This kindness has a limit

When He comes, He must find us ready, with oil in our lamps and light in our hearts, so we can walk with Him through the pearly gates. This responsibility cannot be delegated. This Preparation cannot be borrowed. And this destiny cannot be outsourced. Go to them that sell and buy for yourself! It is sad to say, but kindness has a limit: “Go and buy for yourself.”

When your virginity could only go so far

You know those who sell, don’t you? Yet you act as though you have no time. You are a virgin yet an idle virgin, you're a virgin yet slothful, you're a virgin yet indulgent, you're a virgin yet foolish, you're a virgin yet negligent, you're a virgin yet sloppy! A virgin, yes, but careless. A virgin, yes, but unserious. A virgin, yes, but unprepared. Now, your virginity could only go so far; go to them that sell and buy for yourself!

Go to the source you already know, with the resources you already have

You have the money. You have the resources. You know those who sell. Your issue is not a lack of access; your issue is a lack of preparedness. You simply do not want to take responsibility. So hear it clearly: Go to them that sell! Buy for yourself! Go to the source you already know, with the resources you already have, and prepare while it is still day. For the night cometh when no one can buy, and no one can borrow.

This Preparation cannot be borrowed

This Responsibility cannot be transferred. This Readiness cannot be shared. Our eternal Salvation cannot be outsourced. Go to them that sell, and buy for yourself!

Eat the corn; leave the manna

Without leaving the manna, you can’t have a Pentecost. Manna is an easy pick, but corn is a deliberate plant. In the wilderness, manna required no sowing, no waiting, no cultivating, just gathering. B
